What does PogChamp mean?
The PogChamp emote on Twitch is used to express excitement, surprise, or hype. It originated from a video featuring Ryan ‘Gootecks’ Gutierrez, a professional gamer and commentator. However, after Gutierrez made controversial statements about the storming of the United States Capitol, Twitch removed the emote from the platform in January 2021. Later, Twitch replaced Gutierrez’s image with a photograph of a Komodo dragon, known as KomodoHype.
